week of 12.6.10-12.10.10

This week we started reading "A Raisin in the Sun" by Lorraine Hansberry. This book is written in the form of a play, and each student in the class has signed up for a scene to read a character. This book is about many of the important issues of America during the 1950's. This week the class is reading up to Act two scene two. We were assigned a project with this book worth 30 points. Ten points comes from reading one scene and the other 20 come from being the prop master, vocabulary finder, dramaturge, or reading a main role in one of the scenes. We will finish reading "A Raisin in the Sun" by winter break!
